“It was challenging to continue on with the guidelines learned in Visual Communication yet experiment into the playful territory of graphic design. I found a lot of my own personality come out in this book making it an enjoyable project to work on; however, I now see how difficult branding can be when a company’s tone might not inherently align with an individual. ”
Assigned to reposition a brand, I positioned Stan's Donuts as a vegan brand and created a fictitious story along the way. I wanted to retain the playful, fun aesthetic of Stan's Donuts while creating space for slow, holistic living. Everything about Ina's Donuts is fiction; however, Ina is Stan's wife in real life.
