Modes of Sweet Night Cravings
Eating something sweet before bed is symbol for happiness, freedom and reward in America. Giving it up is not so simple.
Exploring the five different human modes of experience to understand if the well-known systemic problem of obesity, can be descaled by addressing the smaller question of: How do we convert the ‘eating something sweet before bed’ behavior into something healthier?
Sweet Night Bites is a concept that aims to grant an indulgent moment to look forward to every night, by creating irresistible snacks crafted with the healthiest ingredients that will delight you in every bite while promoting wellness, joy and better sleep.
American average families experience high stress within their eight-hour work journeys. This routine drives the average American worker to look up for ways to relieve stress after work. Eating something sweet before bed is not just about the act of eating dessert, but instead it is an unconscious ‘reward’’ they give to themselves for their hard work.
Americans connect this reward to the freedom of taking some time at night to indulge their senses with food, comfort, and entertainment.
The solution is not to provide them further awareness of the risks of eating unhealthy food, because giving up their dessert is giving up their happiness.
The Space Between : Today we can redesign our systems and behaviors by meeting consumers where they are and showing them a better way, by designing value offers that prioritize wellbeing and inclusion from the different human modes of experiences: physical, cognitive, social, cultural, and emotional. Our best future moving forward lies in businesses and institutions choosing to fully understand how to work for the wellbeing of humans and environment. Sweet Night Bites challenges businesses by demonstrating how wellbeing can be ‘sexy’ and profitable, by breaking the consumer's dilemma between heart and mind, meeting them where they are in their desire for joy and indulgence, and feeding their peace of mind by providing nutritious choices.
