Design to improve the quality of life and standard of residential dementia care.
Careband is a technology company dedicated to ensuring human safety and health by combining emerging communication technologies and machine learning. The company's CEO Adam Sobol started researching emerging technologies to help Alzheimer's patients stay safe in 2014. To improve the quality of life and standard of residential dementia care, we would like to further elevate the current user experience, including digital and physical touchpoints.
After four months of research and exploration, we produced a holistic design solution that includes product packaging, industrial design of the wearable, and the digital user experience. The Careband team was very pleased with the outcomes and was eager to carry these design concepts forward within their internal teams.
Adeptation : We conducted client meetings and interviews remotely. However, most of the classes were held in person — an adaptation in its own way.
